We were all in Cumberland this weekend for my Grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary. It was really a great time. My grandmother really seemed to be doing great, so much like her old self. My mom did a terrific job planning the dinner. We had dinner at Penn Alps. We have had a lot of family dinners there over the years. We had a dinner for my great grandparents there, for my Aunt's 50th birthday and now my grandparents 60th. Mom made really pretty centerpieces for each of the tables. I can't always picture what she is talking about making, but everything came out really pretty. I loved the colors for the cake, sage green. The cake topper was beautiful even though I could not fit it on the cake.
I think where mom really out did herself was on the activities that she brought for all of the great grandchildren. The stickers were a huge hit when near the end of the evening they all dressed themselves up with stickers all over their faces.
David and Michael put on a show early in the evening with a singing of "God Bless America". It was loved by all!
I am so thankful that we were able to spend this time together as a family. As time goes by, I really appreciate all of these special moments.
